My bad. I saw what looks like a troll post on IG lol. He posted some images in some gmu swag in what looked like a typical commit social media post. Apparently it was just related to the official visit.

Seeing as this IS his second visit here, I am hoopful (purposeful misspelling).
Agreed- although it looks like he is now getting bigger attention so who knows what our chances look like even though we were on him early.
My neighbor works at South Lakes and knows him, says he is a great kid - send me the duffle bag to give to her
Maybe it's the offseason and peeps are looking for things to talk about.
Or Maybe, people that follow closely may want to know so they can scratch him off their list of whom to follow/keep tabs on.

Witherspoon is an athletic, 6-6 guard who makes an impact on both ends of the floor. Does a good job getting downhill to the basket off the bounce, has good touch around the rim and is a versatile, high-upside defender.

How quickly things change. We used to be really focused on commitments of high school recruits and with the portal now ruling the day, the amount of focus on high school commitments is almost back page news. I wonder how the high school seniors feel? I would imagine it would make many of them uncomfortable. The really good guys will always get a home and be coveted but the other tiers of players are now competing with hundreds if not thousands of additional players.
Its a good point but I bet the high school seniors embrace the process knowing that they probably will be at more than one college. Many of them probably go 1 of 2 ways
1) get under recruited (in their opinions), work their tail off, and know that in a year or two they will go beyond their first school.
2) get recruited for a level, get recruited over, and know that they'll have to step down but want to try it.
Witherspoon is obviously looking like a high major kid today, but whether he ends up sticking at that level, or not will be interesting. I'd love to see him at Mason but I'm not holding my breath considering his options.
