My hot take (Idk if this is even that hot of a take) is I don’t think we’ve landed at least two of the guys who will be big time starters / minutes getters yet.
We definitely need a starting 5, but I think all four guys who have committed so far will either start or play major rotation minutes. They all bring something to the table we needed to replace with the exception of JB, who was probably the most irreplaceable player on the team.

I have probably been wrong more than I’ve been right on these things, but I just don’t see Mincy as a starting PG / 25+ minute a game guy in the A10 quite yet. Adebayo probably slots in pretty well, Hill looks like he’ll be a terror, and I haven’t really formed an opinion on Troutman yet.

Mincy played well against the better teams on Presbyterian’s schedule — think he had 27 or 28 at N.C. State — so that should translate to the A-10 like it did for Brayden and JB transferring up.

I’d take his offensive numbers with a grain of salt. I think his defense will determine how many minutes he gets. He’s got pretty gaudy steal numbers but so did KD and he didn’t play a ton until he stopped taking too many risks and hanging his teammates out to dry. So we will see.

I’m not going to make any predictions about who is starting right now. We’ve still got 5 open spots. Who knows where this goes. An entirely new team.

With Tony as coach you’re really going out on a limb saying his defense is gonna determine playing time lol

I think Tony has a good job reloading so far. Each commit brings not just potential but something exciting.

That said, my priorities would be a starting center, another pg to split time with Mincy, a backup big to push Kanga/Stas. If Long or Martin sign, we’re probably set on the wing. O’Connor may even have to accept a 6th man role.
