Agree thanks Jalen. But if you aren't with us you are against us lol.
No more redshirts for anything but season ending injuries going forward. Haynes has this year because we let him sit out last season even after he became eligible. We sacrificed depth at the 5 so he can leave and get paid at Cincy this year.
We potentially sacrificed our shooting depth this last season (especially during that part of the year when Billups, Newton, Anderson, and KD were all struggling from 3) so Ball could preserve a year and use it somewhere else.
I don’t care if you’re getting into 10-15 games for 9 mpg.
As much as I dislike players essentially being "rentals", I can't complain that they gravitate towards big paydays. As a past employee of Mason, I was free to test the academic market and leave for a better opportunity. (I can assure you that there weren't million $ opportunities out there, however!).
He can skip the inevitable big dramatic thank you mason post as far as I’m concerned. If it’s all one damn chasing the bag? Why bother with something that isn’t genuine? However, it would be nice to see the exiting players express some gratitude for their time at Mason, their brotherhood with teammates, their coaches for having helped them with their development. And even the fans who supported them during their time here.
Maybe I've missed it as I'm not on X or Instagram, but I haven't seen any of that from either Jalen or Keyshawn. Part of becoming an adult/professional is recognizing and acknowledging those who helped you attain your goals. It doesn't cost anything to be appreciative.
Indeed, if there haven't been any "thank you mason posts", then they might not have these genuine feelings. That is testament to the narrowness of their perspective and speaks to their character in a less than positive way.He can skip the inevitable big dramatic thank you mason post as far as I’m concerned. Agreee. However, this generation is all about themselves. Plus, don't think a 21-22 year old, much less a 19 or 20 year old, knows how to properly conduct themselves.... they understand to get it while the getting is good in this landscape. As much as I dislike players essentially being "rentals", I can't complain that they gravitate towards big paydays. These examples show why consistency makes a difference. Imagine Haynes with one more year in this system to polish his game in Skinn’s system.I don't hold anything against Haynes looking to get his. No disputing that he was the reason for this season but he and the offense could have been so much better if he kicked out the basketball quicker in double and triple teams.. too much hero, crappy foul shooting and unnecessarily falling out of Bounds on layups which took him out of the play on the defensive end of the floor.
the offense will be better running thru Adebayo.
Haynes never became eligible last year. This has been well documented. No more redshirts for anything but season ending injuries going forward. Ball I do not understand though, think he would have played but is what it is.
For the 100000th time Haynes never became eligible. Not sure why people are still arguing this, it’s really silly to be honest. Let’s just move on.By whom. Skinn said he came to him and decided not to lose those games. That’s the public information we’ve got. If Skinn was lying to cover up academic eligibility issues or something else, that’s not well documented that’s rumors.
Lack of playing defense. As far as Ball who knows what happened there.
That’s why he didn’t play much in 2023/24 yes. We never saw him in 24/25 so who knows if he got any better? Maybe he didn’t and that’s why he told him he would never play. Makes senseLack of playing defense.
According to Kenpom, Ellington played exclusively at center for Murray State. Has shown to be good rebounder, offensively in particular (top 180), top 170 in blocks, high 2 pt % (looks like a lot of dunks in the video). Took no 3s.2 on campus visits this weekend.
