Big game tonight - SJU at Richmond. Richmond is currently projected as a 9 seed and SJU as an 11/last 4 in. With an SJU win, Richmond should still be an at large, and it should bump SJU up, resulting in a 3 way tie (us, Richmond and SJU all would have 2 losses).

Richmond owns the tiebreaker over us since we only play them once, but we still have a return game at SJU. So if SJU can beat Richmond in this game (and their next game vs them), and we beat SJU (and everyone else), we end up as regular season champs and the combination of those events should position all 3 teams as at large teams.

Winning regular season is also a huge advantage as that will create a significantly easier path to the tournament finals while the #2 and #3 teams will have to play in the semi's most likely.

I haven't heard anything. The women's team has been noticeably secretive (even misleading?) about player injury information under VBL. The last time I get information from someone VERY high up in the program, it turned out to be totally wrong. So, even if I had heard something, I wouldn't trust it.

All I know is that I saw Kennedy in a walking boot at last night's game.

Oh it is absolutely related to legal restrictions and possibly to keep other teams from game planning as well. I wasn't criticizing the VBL staff. They are very good at keeping the information under wraps, or, they don't even know some of it directly either which I think is the case in some instances. I am actually quite impressed. For other teams, past and present, something reasonably accurate usually leaks out regardless of the restrictions.

We've had problems matching up with them the last 2 years and need to prove to themselves that they can beat them. Virtually guaranteed we are playing ST Joe’s in semis (assuming we both win our qtrs).

Richmond has to lose twice (if we win out) for us to overtake first place since they have the tie breaker over us - with them holding off SJU in their last game I don’t see any chance of that happening now.
