Hey I agree with you. We have a ton of spots to fill and the list is very selective. I liked Mason, he played really well after our visit, but I guess there are other guys that fit better. I hope he goes to UNCG and kills it.

5 spots to fill, maybe, but with the understanding that not all will be taken by HS recruits. Could see it being 3 transfers/2 incoming freshman or vice versa. Also could see Ticket opting to use his COVID year and then we’d only have 4 available scholarships pending any transfers.

Gonna be interesting to see how Tech does in the ACC with two 6-foot white point guards. I like Pedulla and Rechsteiner a lot and obviously Mike Young believes he can win with them.

With the Peach Jam (Nike EYBL circuit) going on this week and the UAA Finals (Under Armour circuit) starting tomorrow, I wanted to plug that Gunnie and I are providing coverage on twitter via his personal account, as well as the @GMURecruiting account.

There are a lot of 2024 targets competing as well, but for now, we are focusing on the 23s as best we can. This is not something that any other A10 program has, and the attention is paying dividends on the recruiting trail. The Peach Jam does a good job with the coverage, the video streams are pretty good and there are also live stats during the games you can check out.

Tonight is a triple header - Houston Hoops at 5:00 (court 6), MOKAN Elite at 6:30 (court 2), and Meanstreets at 8:00 (court 3/4). The more interaction the better. I know the players have been liking and retweeting the attention and any little bit helps.

Last night Tommy Humphries - a 2023 6’5” wing from Minnesota was offered by Kim. Coach was in California at the Adidas event where Humphries’s DI Minnesota was playing.

Humphries just won a state championship at Totino-Grace this past season. He averaged around 11 points per game. Taison Chatman plays on the same team and is a top 50 guy who will probably end up at Kansas, so Humphries gets a little overshadowed. They also have a forward who is getting some offers I believe.

His offers list isn’t impressive yet, his biggest recently is probably SIU. I think he might see some more offers over the next week or so.

Mike Williams hit the game-winning bucket for Team Thrill in the UAA Finals. He has been great this summer and really taken his game to another level. Easily should be a top-100 player in the 2023 class.

Adrian Myers, a 6’7” forward from Massanutten Military received an offer this past week. He was playing for DC Premier at the UAA and played well - scored 25 with 10 boards in their championship game (5 for 6 from 3). Check out the Mason Recruiting Twitter account for film.
