With Mike Williams still undecided there was no way our staff was taking a commitment from So. I think he was smart to jump on the UNCG offer while he had the chance … they have a good SoCon program and waiting around can be dangerous these days with the emphasis on portal recruiting.

what you have IMPLICITLY said is that all offers are not offers but conditional offers
we will have X number of scholarship slots available next year - graduating seniors, grad students, and depending upon whether or not Josh/Ticket uses their extra Covid year

but it seems that we have "offered" more scholarships than available slots
and there maybe a priority ordering in the offers

am i correct?

Absolutely. Kids put all their offers out on social for clout, but in many cases it’s not a committable offer unless targets higher in the pecking order don’t pan out.

It’s one reason why JF choosing Mason was such a big deal. He had a committable offer from Florida and several other P5 schools and picked Mason anyhow.

It's a very fluid list as far as I can tell. Barron is certainly a priority. I believe that Mike Williams is also still a priority. New offers like Cameron Carr, Emmanuel Ugbo, and Jace Posey are up there (Carr and Ugbo for sure).

Waiting to see if we continue to go after guys like Connor Dubsky and Austin Ball. Other potential names to follow would be Malik Mack and Thomas Batties.

yea I talked to his dad and he was considering Mason for sure. Not sure I quite believe he couldn't have signed with us if he wanted like has been speculated but again it's his dad talking to me. I personally believe it was a valid offer
