Saint Bonaventure wins 81-80 in OT over Davidson
I'll take 6 and knock off Loyola! They really aren't that talented, that game was stupid! Not really sure what happened there.... I would rather avoid vcu at all costs. Let Bonnies take vcu out.Looking at the current seed line, I hope we can slot in at the 6 seed (it’s probably going to require UMass to lose a game they shouldn’t and us to win a game we shouldn’t but that’s possible) BUT, I’m not really scared of any of the teams on the 2-4 line (sure we lost to them all but mostly for ridiculous reasons—if there was a team to avoid I’d say it’s Richmond), but would love to avoid Dayton until a theoretical final. 6 also allows us an easier first round game.
Update: looks like La Salle beat UMass by 1 so first criteria of finishing 6th is done!
Now let’s take it to Dayton on Wednesday.
It's such a bummer how we let the top 4 slip away. vcu, Loyola, @UMass, @SJU....even winning just those two home games and we'd be right there knocking on the door down the stretch.Seed probability. Mason’s average seed is 8. Most likely 6 or 7. Could finish as high as 5th as low as 11th. A lot left uncertain.
To me, the vcu loss stings the most. It's such a bummer how we let the top 4 slip away. vcu, Loyola, @UMass, @SJU....even winning just those two home games and we'd be right there knocking on the door down the stretch.
I know we're supposed to stay positive and look ahead, but it's still disappointing. Can only hope we put things together and go into Brooklyn as one of the hot teams, then anything can happen.

Oh for a Bazillion!!
It’s hard for me to root for a specific seed. I feel like the top 4 is set, but too close to yell the order yet.Looking at the current seed line, I hope we can slot in at the 6 seed (it’s probably going to require UMass to lose a game they shouldn’t and us to win a game we shouldn’t but that’s possible) BUT, I’m not really scared of any of the teams on the 2-4 line (sure we lost to them all but mostly for ridiculous reasons—if there was a team to avoid I’d say it’s Richmond), but would love to avoid Dayton until a theoretical final. 6 also allows us an easier first round game.

vcu started that game 0-14 from the field in the first 10 minutes and trailed 19-7. UMass pulled away in the second half. Naturally, I was semi-hoping for a UMass loss to give us a shot at passing them for seeding. That's what I get for rooting for the rams.Halftime in Amherst: UMass 38 - vcu 26
I was thinking this too. But Mason isnt mathematically out of a top 4 finish, so maybe it is in Mason’s best interest?I know it’s not in our best interest, but I’ll never not be happy to see vcu gets its a** kicked on national TV.
Much of the league is like that. But I’d gladly take UMASS vcu as a quarters game in the 4/5 game.UMass is so wildly inconsistent. Lose to one of the worst teams in the conference, turn around and beat one of the hottest ones in the very next game. They’re going to be impossible to predict.
