The A10 rarely gets that kind of respect, no matter the ranking in the polls.
That was not the final bracket. There was not a final bracket that year with the tournament being canceled.Dayton was a #2 seed (#6 overall) four years ago. Granted, that was their Obi Toppin team.

While it may not have been the final bracket, I think it was clear to most that Dayton was going to get a very good seed. Just as a reminder, that year Dayton finished the year on a 20 game winning streak with a 29-2 record and 18-0 in the conference. They actually had a reasonable shot at being a #1 seed that year in the NCAAs. Even if they had an upset loss in the A10 tournament, I would have been very surprised if they had fallen as low as a #4.That was not the final bracket. Given that top 4 looks out of reach for Mason, I'm looking for seed positioning 5-9. There's a bit of edge for finishing 5, 6, or 7 as those teams play their first tournament game against a team that played the previous day (winners of the 12-13, 11-14, and 10-15 games, respectively). #8 plays #9 to finish out the round.UMass is looking at 12-6 more than likely. vcu closer to 14-4. Richmond who knows….. Dayton probably 15-3. Loyola makes no sense to me, they really aren’t very skilled and no elite talent but their system seems to work. So who knows… bottom 6 looks pretty set. Gw, St. Louis, Davidson, Fordham, lassale all look real bad,. Duquesne could be the question mark. The 6-9 feels like Mason, st joes, Bonnies and Rhode Island feel like they will fight it out for the middle.
Agreed- Its going to be interesting how that mid pack group that is within a game of each other shakes out. Mason is off on Saturday, so the potential to get a free half game is there. Umass also beat Richmond last night so they are sorta a step ahead of the 6-6 crowd.Given that top 4 looks out of reach for Mason, I'm looking for seed positioning 5-9. Going to be difficult to staying ahead of UMass and St. Joe's with them having tie-breakers over us and with us having games left with both Dayton and an away game vs Loyola. Need some help and a decent winning streak.
Kenpom projects us and St. Joe's finishing 9-9 (although has us favored in the last 4 games after being underdogs in the next 2), but behind both UMass (11-7) and the Bonnies (10-8).Agreed- Its going to be interesting how that mid pack group that is within a game of each other shakes out. At the very least, by continuing to beat up the bottom of the conference, Mason will stay out of the PIG round which makes me happy. Now whether they can finish above 8th, we'll see. I'm hoping for a 10-8 finish (4-2) but I'd gladly take a 9-9 (3-3) over the final 6.
C'mon Davidson!!UMASS loses = Good for Mason
St. Joe’s loses = Good for Mason
Now Davidson needs to beat the Bonnies. Davidson currently down 31-26 late in the first half.
Davidson tied with the Bonnie’s at the half 34-34C'mon Davidson!!
