They brought in Shaka Smart for about $3 mil per year, who went 4th, 10th, 6th, 6th, 3rd & 3rd in six seasons making 3 NCAA appearances (4 if not canceled season). His teams never advanced past the round of 64.

Same AD who knew about scholarship fraud from the tennis program to Rick Barnes’ basketball team managers that did nothing as well. Texas was/is filled with cheating and lying but the school isn’t racist

Continuing the trend of posting any time any PG w/some potential hits the portal.....


Dwon Odom of Xavier has hit the portal. Athletic and solidly built at 6'2" & 181 lbs. Top 50 recruit and #9 PG coming out of H.S. At Atlanta native who had offers from Florida, GA Tech, Virginia, and VA Tech among others.

Averaged 6.6 pts and 2.9 assists to .9 turnovers as a true freshman where he started 11 of 19 games. Those numbers dropped to 6.3 pts and 2.2 assists to 1.5 turnovers this season where he started just 9 of 36 games. Not much of a 3-pt shooter, just 19 total attempts in two seasons, averaging 15% & 33% each year.

New Mexico transfer Saquan Singleton (

) tells me that he's receiving interest from George Mason, Bryant, Pacific, Coastal Carolina, FDU, Cal State Fullerton, Ohio, & Niagara. Singleton averaged 4.6 points and 3.0 rebounds.

I wonder what is the effect on the transfer portal on the recruitment of graduationg HS seniors?

I believe this is more than just the college players who got an extra year of eligibility due to Covid but may be more driven by the lack of having to suit out for a year

Louisville's Noah Locke has entered the portal for his 5th season COVID year. Significant if only because he's an Owing's Mill/Baltimore native. Top 100 recruit out of H.S. that's averaged around 10 PPG every year and had a Mason offer in 2018. Tulsa had also offered, so possible CKE had previously recruited him.

Not a primary ball-handler but a very solid 3-Pt shooter. He'll be heading to his third program after starting out at Florida.
