For the first time ever, I honestly feel like our chances at getting the occasional 4-star recruit is NOT a glorified wet dream. Even when Hewitt was here I had my doubts, and yes... we got Copes... but only because Paul hired his uncle to his staff. With English, I actually feel like he's the kind of dude that'll be able to connect with those kids and get them to see Mason as a viable landing spot.

For the first time ever, I honestly feel like our chances at getting the occasional 4-star recruit is NOT a glorified wet dream. Even when Hewitt was here I had my doubts, and yes... we got Copes... but only because Paul hired his uncle to his staff. With English, I actually feel like he's the kind of dude that'll be able to connect with those kids and get them to see Mason as a viable landing spot.

We may be on a whole new level of recruiting success.

Just hope he can X and O once he gets these horses.

We certainly are on a whole new level of offers, gotta land some of them first.

It’s clear that we’re aiming for at least 1 PG in the 22 class, will be interested to see what we do to bridge the gap until we get to these kids as well. Have to think we are looking at a sophomore/junior PG in the portal.

Really? Until we hear otherwise we have 3 PGs on the roster and another incoming. If KE adds one that means at least of those guys is leaving because no way we’re carrying 5 PGs on a 13-man roster.

Is mike gray a true point guard or more of a combo guard? I think he might play more of the 2, but whatever.

haven’t heard anything one way or another on whether he’s coming, but it’s obvious that English wants his own guy for 2022 it looks like.

Yeah, we're going to need bigs (at least one, two if Oduro leaves). Right now the only for sure big on the roster is Henry.

Probably why we're offering PGs in 2022 class, can't assume any of them will be back after '21 in this environment. Also, nothing stopping you from playing two "points guards" at any point, so long as they understand their role while they're on the court.

Unless I missed something, does anybody find it odd we haven’t heard anything from or about XJ? English mentioned Hartwell, Greene and the guys in the portal by name the day of his presser — and he has worked out with Polite and Henry and shot videos with Gadsden and Oduro — but I don’t recall Xavier being discussed.
