So what's our 4 star guards reason for getting 1 and 2 mins per game? It's frustrating to watch JF get pulled in and out like that. At this point, just let him make mistakes. If his curve doesn't level out, then fine. But what if he explodes into the scorer we desperately need? I think it's worth a try.

Yep, what we got (from any of the players) sure as heck isn't working. I had such high hopes, but as I said, living in Richmond, I can't even wear my gear right now.

Look, unless he’s willing to attack the defense off the dribble we really don’t need yet another guard camping out at the 3-point line clanging shots off the rim.

If he wants to play he will: stay in front of his man on defense. fight through every screen, box out properly when shots go up, and attack the basket on the offensive side.

No more 8-26 from 3 shooting nights. No more guards taking 12 shots and all 12 being from long range. It’s a tiring a sad offense we’ve got right now.

I know you know this, but the No. 1 reason for anyone not getting PT is repeatedly blowing assignments on defense.

While it may be tempting when we’re struggling to say “try anything,” KE sees all of our guys every day. He’s not going to start Justyn or increase his minutes significantly until he deserves it.

The reality is his HS ranking means less than nothing at this point.

I don't have any specific information to share, but all I know is if he was doing things right (including to @gmujim92 's point about defense), he'd get more minutes.

I know when losing its easy to pluck the one guy who doesn't get minutes and say "PLAY THIS GUY MORE" but obviously it wouldn't help in this regard.

I just don't want us to be 0-2 on 4 star recruits. Copes was a bust. Come on JF, step up and do what is necessary!!!!! Everything KE has said is that you have the ability. Just do it.

That theory isn't working under English because right now he is 2-0 this year, and 12-4 overall at home, lol.

The problem is he is 0-6 in neutral games and our road record is 4-9 under him.

I just don't want us to be 0-2 on 4 star recruits. Copes was a bust. Come on JF, step up and do what is necessary!!!!! Everything KE has said is that you have the ability. Just do it.

I would be really shocked if JF ends up being a bust. I know I personally expect lower learning curves for higher ranked recruits so I am surprised he hasn't done much or played much.

That said, plenty of other good 3 star talent (Ball, White, Nnaji, Dinkins) in general. Hopefully JF figures it out because we already saw what he could do against Longwood.

My biggest disappointment with him is we're not seeing the athleticism/driving the lane ability yet. I don't know if that's him being hesitant or if he's just fallen into the "chuck up as many 3's as humanly possible" boat like everyone else, but he doesn't look like the player that we heard about for months.
