Darren Buchanan put up a 40-piece tonight. Probably the best unsigned senior in the DMV’s 2022 class.
I get what you're saying, and I'd love to add Buchanan to this class, but he's not coming in and replacing Schwartz. Expect us to play extremely heavily in the transfer portal. Again, very much want him, but this staff understands that Oduro's time here is short, so they are going to target proven transfers who can contribute immediately next season.Could really use him as a Schwartz replacement.
Since you are an insider now (non sarcastic I appreciate what you do on Twitter)... Did the staff ever consider Daye Jr from Fordham to fill our PG woe? I thought the A-10 inter-conference transfer rule wouldn't make him sit. Or do you think they go for someone P5 after the season? I thought Daye would have been a great fitI get what you're saying, and I'd love to add Buchanan to this class, but he's not coming in and replacing Schwartz. I wouldn't consider myself an insider, just someone who has a very specific twitter search history.Since you are an insider now (non sarcastic I appreciate what you do on Twitter)... Coop doesn't want to stay on the Grant Golden track of college forever?I wouldn't consider myself an insider, just someone who has a very specific twitter search history.
No clue on Daye Jr. I do believe you see a transfer PG come in after the season, don't think it necessarily has to be a P5 guy. I'd imagine there's a list compiled of guys they are keeping tabs on. I'm happy that he's getting an opportunity at Bryant, but Kabimba leaving opens up a much needed spot. With Schwartz, Cooper, and Hartwell all (likely) departing, the Kabimba transfer leaves us with two openings currently, and based on history, you have to imagine more will come. Outside of Ticket and Oduro, every spot in the rotation is up for grabs next season.
I'd love it if he did. Another year to work on creating his own shot, driving with the ball, cutting without the ball, etc. And you know, defense. The rest of this season can go a long way in determining his pro opportunities.Coop doesn't want to stay on the Grant Golden track of college forever?
Why do you say Oduro's time here is short? I get that he blowing up and all, but you don't think the fact that CKE kept him here and helped to make him what he is today will matter? Sure if CKE goes, all bets are off, but if CKE can develop him at Mason, maybe the relationship between those two will be strong enough to keep Oduro at Mason.I get what you're saying, and I'd love to add Buchanan to this class, but he's not coming in and replacing Schwartz. This might be true, or Cooper could end up staying and the rotation next year could look very similar with 4 of 5 starters returning and a mixture of Otis, Blake, Polite, and Fernandez picking up Schwartz's minutes.I wouldn't consider myself an insider, just someone who has a very specific twitter search history.

Fernandez specifically will not be a rotational player... Dinkins also needs to do very little to take the majority of the PG duties (although I am not complaining with XJ's high) he is far too inconsistent to be the main minute getter on a great A10 team. This might be true, or Cooper could end up staying and the rotation next year could look very similar with 4 of 5 starters returning and a mixture of Otis, Blake, Polite, and Fernandez picking up Schwartz's minutes.

Excited about Dinkins but I see him getting closer to 10 mpg next year and XJ getting the majority of the minutes again. I'd like to see XJ shoot the ball a little better but I think he's the man this year and next.Fernandez specifically will not be a rotational player... Strong disagree. We all saw what an elite A-10 point guard looks like tonight and he was on the other team. Kim ain’t messing around, I’ll be shocked if he doesn’t find a new starting PG in the portal because X is too inconsistent to be even among the top-half of the league at his position.Excited about Dinkins but I see him getting closer to 10 mpg next year and XJ getting the majority of the minutes again. I love XJ. He can easily be the best backup PG in the league. He’s bottom 4 starting PG at the moment. All of these statements are true.Strong disagree.
