I think the current class coming in ranks up top in Mason history

Pretty huge class.

247 sports doesn't count transfers, but if they did: Schwartz would be 1st all-time, Gaines would edge out Vaughans as 5th, Cooper 15th. Mbaye is rated as the 7th right now, Blake Jones is not rated by ESPN or Rivals, so he doesn't have a composite score, but he's rated ahead of Mbaye by 247 and is the no. 1 recruit out of Australia.

We are spoiled right now and I think the average fan up here doesn’t even know it. When this translates into wins, I think folks are gonna be surprised by what English has built so quickly.

This!

Totally spot on. I firmly believe as well that English's combination of basketball knowledge (obviously) with youth and charisma is going to yield insanely successful recruiting classes. Right now, his basketball pedigree and personality is what's bringing in recruits (who, as we've seen are already) that are very highly regarded. Pair that with winning and he'll be unstoppable on the trail.

Has Josh's brother Peter Oduro been mentioned anywhere? 6'9, Osbourn Park, reclassified to 2022.

I didn't know Josh had a younger brother. But this is interesting because it's often the second or third sibling that's the most talented out of the crop... mainly because older brother and his friends were taking it to the younger brother on the court from the day he could walk. I saw this in baseball all the time while growing up; the younger siblings always grew up MUCH more advanced with their skills. This was probably purely for survival because if we were playing pick up games or throwing the ball around, we weren't going to take it easy on anyone just because they were a few years younger. So in this case, Peter might be even better or more polished than Josh coming into the college game.

Even if he is substantially better, would he want to follow Josh or forge his own path?

I would say a lot of that will depend on the relationship they(the family) have with KE and the development we see in Josh under Kim’s coaching.
If Josh's game noticeably improves and he gets a shot at the NBA (like a tryout or something) or perhaps goes to play for a really good International team, that might prove KE could work wonders with an athlete if given a longer timeframe to work with

The fact that he played public school ball, and never made the jump to the private ranks, is probably some indication of his talent level. 6-8/6-9 public school kids who end up playing all 4 years in public school usually aren't that good.
