Definitely agree his stats were underwhelming this year. My understanding is that his role diminished.

That said the stats from the first two years look like he could be a solid contributor if he can improve on them. There are a lot of guards in the mix at GW now and with Bishop the ball hog there, its going to be very interesting how it all comes together.

I don’t think you’re reaching at all. Unless Kolek shocks everyone by coming back I’ve been assuming Gaines is gonna be a Patriot. My only question is if KE goes after another SG to go with him since we lose Javon too

Based on what I've seen, I wouldn't characterize Gaines as a SG, at least not offensively. He would give us a swiss army knife on defense though. He can defend 1-4 in the A10.
