If we could have gotten Tommy Amaker to leave Harvard six years ago, I would have said pay the man.

I wish Brad would just call all Patriot Club members and just ask for an extra 1,000 from each of us and a commitment for that for the next four years. Pay for a head coach from a higher conference.

Not excited for someone from Vermont or the Patriot League. I think if we are going to initiate a significant change for the program and retain our best players - we need to drop 1 million a year on the salary.

I agree, this would be ideal if we could get some more private money and move the needle on paying a coach.

No clue what this guy will make compared to DP, but it would be nice to be able to pay a little bit more and try to get a better return.

Take notes, people. This is how you write a public statement in the aftermath of being let go. All class, no excuses, no bitterness. I promise you every AD at a strong academic smaller D1 that reads this statement will have DP on their short list should they need a new coach.

Maybe..... but really how much did they even know each other? No opportunity to go to games (a la Merton or even Cabrera), campus deserted, Washington being busy dealing with covid's impact on the university at large

probably not much, but I know he at least talked to athletes via zoom I’m sure. Just interesting.

"The search at Fordham has been narrowed down to a final group, and the decision could be made by as early as tomorrow. I’ve talked to a bunch of people around it, and here is what I’ve heard:

Tony Barbee (associate to the head coach Kentucky): Word on the street is that he is in the top half of the final group.

Carmen Maciariello (head coach Siena): Heard he’s gained a lot of momentum here of the past week or so.

Kyle Neptune (assistant coach Villanova): Multiple sources say Jay Wright is making a hard (hard) push for Neptune here.

Jared Grasso (head coach Bryant): – He’s being reported as “among the finalists”, but I’m still hearing that he’s out.

James Jones (head coach Yale): Sounds like he is/was the top guy, but most likely staying put?

Matt Langel (head coach Colgate): In the mix, but not sure where.
