This st Joe's situation seems totally unfair to Brown. They should make an exception and let him transfer to Mason.

If he hired an agent, it’s a pretty sure sign they think he’ll be drafted. If he didn’t sign an agent, he can still come back if he’s not drafted.
There are new rules this year and I think it allows him to hire an agent to assist through the draft process. If he doesnt get drafted, he can terminate his agreement with the agent and return to school.

Yes but he’s not going back to what’s left of SJU’s dilapidated team. He’ll be playing for money somewhere next season.

Brown doesn’t have a shot at being drafted this year does he? I didn’t see enough from him that would make me believe he’d be on anyone’s draft board. I completely understand why he would want out and he is in a bad situation where if he transfers he loses another year but I don’t think the NBA is the answer.
He filled up the stats this year on volume but not efficiency. Can’t count the number of times I watched him dribble up and take a straightaway 3 with 25 seconds left on the shot clock.

At the risk of being accused of being a heretic...I felt like Otis did this a lot this year. It felt to me that several times a game he would shoot a contested 3 and I would look at the shot clock and it would have 20 or more seconds left.

Probably. Brown just made no attempt to hide the fact that it was what he was going to do. Couple of times there where SJU got the score run up on them because the other team had a million possessions.

I'll wait to see if his impact on Kentucky is anything special.

Bucknell grad transfer Nate Sestina has committed to Kentucky. Cue the “Paulsen sucks” chorus.
You won't get that from me but you will get, Paulsen please find another big man for us that will transform into a Kentucky player! Dixon, Temara, AJ, Calixte, Reuter. He found Sestina and Muscala at Bucknell. Why the difficulty here?

Excellent question. I know he is trying.

It looks like the graduate transfer rule might be changing soon.

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/04/sports/ncaa-final-four-graduate-transfers.html

"In two weeks, the N.C.A.A.’s primary legislative body, the Division I Council, will vote on a measure that could severely restrict graduate transfers. The proposed rule change would require that colleges accepting graduate transfers be docked a scholarship the next year if the transfer does not earn his secondary degree within a year.

So as graduate transfers have continued to increase — there were 124 this season in men’s basketball, according to the website GradTransferTracker, including a handful who were key contributors on N.C.A.A. tournament teams — and as programs have found value in them as a quick fix that suits both team and player, the new rule is seeking to discourage them by effectively adding a tax on programs that accept such players."

I would transfer if I were Calixte. He had to earn his starting role twice. DP doesn’t seem to respect him.

We need to offer KJ Lawson from Kansas.... Paulsen said he wanted the athletes to compete with the upper echelon A10 teams

Cruel. Do u want us in dead last next year? I agree that things aren't running smoothly in the program but that's just a dumb thing to say.

Why is it dumb? Is it incorrect?
from Calixte's post of view I could see it being plausible... Paulsen hopefully had a good season ending interview with the players he wronged last year (Calixte, JDS, Hartwell, AJ)
