2018 Recruit Tracker - Miller and Douglas-Stanley

Last year he averaged nearly .39% from three point land.

This year, he is shooting .091% from three and still scoring scoring 11 points a game.

If he could get to at least .30% from three point range (or hell at least .25.%), his versatility and output could shoot up significantly. The two 3's he hit last game were badly needed for his confidence from beyond the arc.

Agreed 100%. And I hope my post wasn't taken as a shot at Kier. Quite the opposite. I love his play, and want more players like him.

And he did a great job of killing a roster spot at mason for 4 years.

And a reward for doing so.......lol.

Miller and Loudoun Valley lost on a last second shot in overtime. It was a heartbreaker.

I thought he played well. Didn’t put up the stats offensively early, but his had a couple blocks that helped his team jump out to an early lead. Toward the end of the game they were feeding him the ball and he was scoring. At the end of regulation he had a shot that missed... it looked like he got hacked and the refs swallowed their whistles.

Next time, he makes that shot and picks up "AND ONE!!"

Looks like Dave found a great player in JDS, can’t wait to see him playing in a Mason uniform.
OHHHHHHHHHH!

JDS (no. 20) hits threes, stuffs fast-break dunks, shakes and slashes to the rim, hands over the assist, and rejects an opponent's shot into the cheap seats. Yeah! DP has got himself a baller!! :oface:

JDS is a great get for our program and has a legitimate opportunity to earn significant minutes off the bench next season. Just watching the footage from that same playoff game, I'm also intrigued by #5 from Pine Bush.

His name is Brandon Powell, and he is currently a 6-2 senior with a nice handle, shooting stroke and driving ability. I found a few articles mentioning him (one is below), but I don't subscribe to any recruiting services to see if he's committed yet.

No offers from what I can search for. He also has a twin brother on that team.

Highlights from Mount Vernon's season ending loss to Liverpool

Thanks for sharing the video. I was at the game - it was a good one. Liverpool an excellent team - now 25-0 going into today's championship. They shot almost 60% from 3. Douglas-Stanley did not have his best game stat wise but I liked the confidence he played with. Good build too - able and willing to mix it up down low and be the type of rebounding guard that Paulsen likes.
