Meh. Was completely underwhelmed when he was signed anyway.
I'm curious if was his call or a DNP-CD.

Any news on that - it is like trying to find out details on prom night in North Korea.And then there is always the mystery that is Mayimba.
It will be a pleasant surprise if Mayimba plays for us.
Looks correct to me. That leaves us with 2 open scholarships (3 if Mayimba isn't eligible and we get a waiver for his spot)
I would hope that Mason would do the right thing and allow him to continue his education, perhaps I'm expecting too much?why would we need a waiver if Mayimba isn't cleared? If the NCAA doesn't clear him, he's gone. Scholarship open.
I'd guess DP needs to find 3 more players...

@young_abram31 Gmason is in a very nice place.Very relaxing town.....hope u enjoy
From everything I've heard, the records in question are his "9th grade" records from before he came to the US. He graduated from a reputable HS, which presumably accepted his 9th grade records with much less scrutiny than the NCAA, and Mason accepted the diploma of that high school.Is Mayambia sitting bc of academic records from hs as previously reported? If said records are sketch, why and how is he enrolled? Seems more likely this is about something else.
I thought I read somewhere (but maybe it was just speculation on here) that the whole reason these things usually take a year to resolve is that the NCAA is letting those with transcripts they find questionable to get a year of school under their belt to make sure they are, indeed, ready for college and didn't just have made up transcripts.The NCAA has very strict, legalistic rules on HS credits and transcripts, and you have to have 4 years of certain subjects. If they reject his 9th grade work, then he's short.
I always thought TM was the breakout star of the freshman group. Fingers crossed he suits up next year as a Patriot.
I don't believe it's that simple. The NCAA is incompetent, too. There are examples of players who have waited over 2 years and never been cleared or denied.I thought I read somewhere (but maybe it was just speculation on here) that the whole reason these things usually take a year to resolve is that the NCAA is letting those with transcripts they find questionable to get a year of school under their belt to make sure they are, indeed, ready for college and didn't just have made up transcripts.
Well that sucks. Rhetorical question, but, how in the world does that help the student athletes that they claim to be looking out for...There are examples of players who have waited over 2 years and never been cleared or denied.
