I am still a fan of sending college juniors and seniors, NBA rookies to the Games. Send a U-23 squad to let them get seasoned against some of the world's best.
OT - US Olympic Basketball

They would never bring back gold.
I haven't watched international ball since the last olympics, and I haven't watched any of the warm up games, but if I recall the US team has enough talent to basically pull a 15 point swing out of their behinds whenever they want. Other teams have hung with them for a quarter or two, but there's always a killer death blow in there once someone on the US team gets hot. Once they're actually playing for something it'll probably be the same. Tough to bet against 'em.
I'm still sore about 1972. We was robbed doesn't even begin to express it.
Might as well be international boxing.
Just to make you feel older, I barely remember the Dream Team because I was five.
You just made me feel old since I thought we were about the same age

DVR and don't watch ESPN or read the sports page.
That is the correct answer. I have YoutubeTV and I just have the system recording all Olympic events I care about, I got to choose, and then I'll watch them as I can. Easy Peasy!

Final US 110 - Serbia 84. The perfectionist in me would like to see a better start (down 10-2 today), crisper passing, and fewer turnovers. But, I'll take the result without too much hesitation. LOL.
