"Ultimate Cinderellas

Speaking of happy teams, congrats to the six schools that are in the women's NCAA tournament for the first time: Arkansas State, FDU, George Mason, Grand Canyon, UC San Diego and William & Mary. Spokane 1 No. 13 seed Grand Canyon enters the tournament having won 30 in a row, the longest active Division I winning streak."

Just stopped by the on campus university book store and they have ZERO women's basketball championship gear. Apparently it's online only.

What a wasted opportunity!
Yup - I'm wondering if I'm going to get the shirt I ordered in time for the game on Saturday

Edit - just checked order - hasn't even shipped yet, eta is 3/27 to 4/3 and I ordered it 7 days ago

So Mason being Mason strikes again!
I know its easy to pick on Mason - but I do think this is probably more of a vendor issue than Mason. It does suck either way but sometimes things are out of their control.

Possibly, and I may be wrong, but other schools seem to have merch immediately available after the final buzzer for immediate sale. I have bought UNC stuff within minutes of the conclusion of a game. Maybe Mason could plan ahead? I know money is an issue. Paying for stuff you may never use. And UNC isn't Mason, but it just seems like we are always playing catch up when it comes to sports.

I hear you. I don't know the full ins and outs of the issue. We have a lot of issues with merch and timeliness. It always has to be special ordered etc, its annoying. Comparing us to UNC though, is probably not fair.

I have heard many times and I think it has been posted on here in the past that Mason has a lot of requirements that a vendor has to meet to be considered. I will avoid making political commentary on these requirements but will point out that most of them are completely unrelated to providing a quality product, at a good price, and in a timely fashion.

Yes, I have heard and seen the same thing posted.

Anyway, back to the woman's basketball team. They'll play on Saturday. Excited for them.
