As DJ3 has repeatedly pointed out, DP is 51-58 for his career at Mason.

In order for DP to get to .500, the team needs to go at least 14-7 for the rest of the regular season. That means the team would finish 18-13 regular season.

While still not great, it would make his agent's job a bit easier.

So In order for me to have any hope at all, the season starts over today for me.

14-7 is the worse we can do for me to not be 100% on the Fire DP train (the train that I am currently the conducter of.) AND yes, Jim I know my opinion doesn't matter and he's staying regardless.

Currently 4 - 6. I see us finishing at 5 - 8 OOC with losses to JMU and K State. Lone OOC win against Navy. From what I have seen thus far I think going 13 - 5 in the A10 is very optimistic given the fact that the best we have done to date is 9 - 9. I hope it happens but just don't see it.

Defense is non existent at least if you wanna be a top tier team in A10. Yea we suck at shooting too, but if we had a defense worth a damn then maybe we have a chance to win more games. Looking bleak if changes aren't made.

I don't think I'll be on the fire DP train anytime soon, but I like adopting the mentality of hitting reset and shooting for something around 14-7 rest of the way, so I'm half on board.

Good grief did you see vcu's defense last night against Texas??? Who are we going to beat in the A-10 except the other bottom dwellers like us! 14-7 is a stretch. Also a leader stands by his predictions and as DP said Reuter All A-10 and the two year season with this year being the year! After 39 years i am getting disillusioned and unless it a big game I will sell my tickets!!!

In defense of those who don't live within immediate driving distance to Fairfax, has this team given any of those fans a reason to spend the time and money it would take to get there? Being up in NYC, I'm certainly in that boat.

Agreed and that is considering that the A10 is a very weak conference at the mid to bottom year over year.

To be honest, I don't see how can even go 10-11. But have to try to give myself some reason to watch the rest of the games this year.

It's not gonna change the obvious. DP cant recruit in this league. To be that stoked about Reuter and to now see the results is disappointing and maddening. He put his foot in his mouth. Never takes blame. Always the players fault. Just a little too much of a stubborn dick.

This team will not beat Davidson or St. Louis, so that’s 3 guaranteed looses right there. Unless their defense improves, St. Joes I’m will be a tough, tough game to win, particularly what we did to them last season. I looked at the schedule and saw about 7 games where we are most likely to lose based upon how they are playing right now, so 14-7 feels like a pipe dream.

Best case scenario I think is 8-10 in conference. Finish the season at 14-17.

Can’t explain why, other than I’m a massive homer, but I still have faith we’re going to turn it on in league play and surprise everyone.

Richmond was 3-10 in OOC last season and finished 9-9 in the A-10.

Three more games and our guys get a chance to wipe the slate clean.
