Hello Patriots! Or as we would say down South, “Howdy there Patriots!” Crazy happy to become a member here. I am from Tennessee, just an hour from Knoxville and the UT campus, but my family and I make our home in Fairfax County now for the past handful of years. The first thing to know about me is that I speak good English...Kim English that is. We are not happy to lose CKE, his impact on our program was felt to the last minute, but as they say ... our loss is your gain! And then when young Mr. Gaines decided to follow Coach English to Mason, well what else was I to do?! I knew then it was time to declare a 2nd favorite team and pledge shared loyalty to the Patriots and Patriot Nation. I hope y’all will have me!

Thanks and I look forward to attending as many games as possible this coming season! Ready to root on these formerly Orange gentlemen and all the other hungry Patriots in this good looking roster. Sorry to be so long winded, let me close with my first ever ... “GO PATS!, GO MASON!”

Thanks so much, cool Southern connection, that’s a great story. Yeah obviously both programs have a lot to be excited about. Despite losing CKE, the Vols will continue reaping the benefits of his recruiting prowess for a long time to come. He was pretty much solely responsible for bringing in 5 star PG Kennedy Chandler to the 2021 class, and with the addition of 5 star Brandon Huntley-Hatfield and 4 star Jonas Aidoo over the past week, the Vols currently have the No. 2 class in the nation. Let’s hope it translates into better performance in the post season, ugh!

Anyway enough about the Vols, I understand this is Mason territory, thanks for your reply. Go Patriots!

We all can't wait to get the season underway as we truly believe that he is going to do some special things to make our community very proud. During the season, many of us hang out at Brion's Grille pre and post game which is right across the street from the arena.

Thanks so much for that Matt. I couldn’t agree more that Coach English will build something very special at Mason. He was much beloved as an assistant in Knoxville, and I truly believe he and his staff will be bringing names to Mason that will shock & awe in due time. He’s clearly got the Midas touch when it comes to recruiting, and he knows the X’s & O’s as well. He is a player’s coach. I have no doubt he is thinking nationally for Mason, not regionally.

Looking forward to meeting some of you during the season! Let’s hope against hope that things will be normal enough again by then, that we’ll be seeing packed gyms everywhere. Thanks again!
