I'd love to have those guys in the A-10. Good team, well coached, and a really cool group of fans.

One of my favorite programs in the country.

Dayton and vcu were also mentioned as possible additions, but Wichita is the only one picking up steam.

It's really amazing to me how despite every A10 team that gets consistent success ends up in a higher conference but the A10 always continues to stay a multi bid league.

Temple, Memphis, Xavier, Villanova, all amazing programs leave the A10 and still this past year, in the weakest year of the A10 in recent memory, we still got 3 teams in the NCAA tournament. Quite remarkable actually.

Villanova left almost 30 years ago and Memphis was never in.....

You are correct, my bad. But the point still stands even with recent teams like Butler, Temple and Xavier leaving the A10.

If Gonzaga left the West coast conference, St. Mary's would be the only team that could even sniff an at large for that conference on a consistent basis

None of WSU, vcu or Dayton make sense for the AAC (other than they are good at basketball). Didn't they learn anything from the last basketball/football hybrid monstrosity?

UMass probably makes the most sense -- football team needs a home, decent basketball pedigree.

At some point though it's going to get crowded at the top and some teems in the A10 or an AAC will have a smaller margin of error for the at larges outside of the auto bid ...since the likes of sub .500 ACC teams will have to fit into the field somehwere....lol.

If I'm WSU, I hold out for the Big East. I realize they don't really fit the BE profile other than being a non-football school, but the BE-Fox tv contract is coming up in 2 years (I think its 2, could be 3) and Fox is going to want more quality content. Dayton would fit the BE profile, but does Xavier allow them in? More important, does Dayton bring in a bid enough media market? The on-court success is there.

Saint Louis has expressed interest in the past in the BE. They fit the profile and bring a large media market. Gives Creighton a travel partner. But they would have to seriously increase their basketball funding. But is the on-court success there?? not right now.

So then there is WSU. Gives Creighton a travel partner and the success is there.

It will never happen due to baseball.
