Welcome Otis Livingston

Again, coaching. Or maybe not. We will never know with the three leaving. Let's see how the guys who are staying play defense this year.

I graduated from Linden H.S. many years ago. I attend many Linden games and you guys got a very good player and person. Otis is very humble and is a pass first point guard. He is listed as 6 feet but is probably about 5'11". He was selected on the first team of 5 players for all of New Jersey. He was over looked by many teams and I think many will be sorry. I had hoped that Otis would have stayed in New Jersey and played for Rutgers but it doesn't seem as if RU recruited him. Linden was the top public school in the state and they defeated Roselle Catholic 2 out of 3 times this past season. Roselle Catholic was selected as the top team in the state and I think finished like about #12 in the Final USA rankings. Isaiah Briscoe led Roselle Catholic and he is going to Kentucky. Let me tell you, Otis outplayed Isaiah in the two wins over Roselle Catholic. I believe you guys got a real steal. You will love Otis and his game. I will be rooting hard for your team. I already loved George Mason because Steve Flynn who is one of your top distance runners ran at Edison High school in NJ where I was the X-C coach for many years. I never got to coach Steve as he ran for EHS after I had retired. He seems to be having a great career at George Mason. I follow his results as often as I can.

Impressive... It looks like Otis' dad, Otis senior, was on the '88 Kansas Team that won the National Championship. He's currently an Emmy Award winning sports anchor in NYC with CBS.

Considering our program's greatest success was built on the backs of players who had chips on their shoulders after being overlooked by "bigger" programs on the recruiting trail, I am most excited that DP and staff have added a player with similar motivation.

Our program got soft during the Hewitt Error. We need to get back to playing with an edge, emotion and swagger. Hopefully Otis brings that with him from Jersey when he arrives on campus.
