Is that a serious question? This team isn't going to the dance unless we win the A10 Tourney. As much as I'm rooting them, odds say it will not happen. KE isn't burning a half year of his star recruit's eligibility in some hail mary attempt to secure a longshot bid. And keep in mind, JF would be extremely unlikely to contribute significantly having not played at the college level and having very little time to integrate with the team.

Pretty realistic and definitely an outcome I'd be happy with. We absolutely do not need JF to do this and it'd be stupid to use him otherwise.

An N.C.A.A. decision related to the pandemic inspired some elite players to finish high school early and jump to college to take advantage of an extra year of eligibility.

Great article on it. This does not count against eligibility or future redshirt. Mac Etienne on UCLA was an early entrant last year and then tore his ACL or something this year and he has been allowed a redshirt without effecting the eligibility... also Fernandez could have done this whether Kabimba or Gray left or not as the NCAA allows up to 2 early entrants for 15 scholarships total after midterms.
