Although Kameron Murrell & Danny Dixon played for IMG Academy, evidently they did not play on the same team - see http://www.imgacademy.com/latest-he...ketball-goes-5-1-new-hampshire-trey-whitfield.
After watching a number of Danny Dixon videos I like the following:
Seems to have good basket awareness. His workouts show good feel for space, especially with his back to the ball.
Good form on his close in shots, nice stroke on the 15 footers.
For a big man he gets up and down the court well. Also looks to be a skillful passer from the post. Good hands.
That close in hook shot from the right and left hands will draw a lot of fouls.
Very nice addition to the team coach. Get him into weight training room and we may have another Miscala.

Have to push back on these two points.
His highlight reel doesn't show misses, but his shooting form is rough. He brings it straight up from the middle of his chest in front of his face and pulls his head back to clear the ball. That is a recipe for a jumpshot that you can't count on. Every coach will talk about BEEF when shooting, and that much head movement and putting the ball in front of his face kills having steady eyes.
Secondly, Muscala is 6'11 and a heck of a midrange/outside shooter.
If anything, I'm hoping this guy turns into Will Thomas, a mid/undersized post guy with killer footwork and a post series he can get off against bigger guys reliably.

LOL, if it's a white guy comparison you want, I'll say this much. He's already got that little Kevin McHale move where you pivot like you're going to take a lefty jump hook, but you actually shoot a fading right handed jump shot right in the guys face/chest.

Yeah - he didn't look too smooth on the free throw on his tape. Paulson will coach him up.

I think he has a little Arvydas Sabonis mixed in with a little Detlef Schremph in him.
I got into a debate with a black friend of mine about white and black NBA players, and he said we weren't allowed to claim foreign players like Nowitski and Nash. I countered that they in turn couldn't claim guys like Duncan and Tony Parker. It actually made for a pretty lively and funny conversation.

Do you say that because of how small the forwards were in the highlight reels? They all look really small.
