I'd be willing to make the trade with lower level sports. As long is it doesn't infringe on basketball then go for it. I think football can do more for the university as a whole though than anything other than basketball so I wouldn't mind if something like baseball lost out a bit but the university as a whole benefited.If it's financially feasible, then I'd be in favor of it. Well its good we've covered all the offseason deadhorses, no video scoreboard, no practice facility and no Mason sports hall of fame and now we covered the deadhorse of football.

I mostly agree with your post. However, funding a program is possible. in 2013 ETSU approved to increase student fees by only $125. This proved to be a worthy investment when you see an immediate increase in student applications.
