I don't like adidas, but then I'm reminded we could be rocking the Quinnipiac font.

These boards will be in complete meltdown mode when vcu goes Jordan
(and I'm not saying "if" because I just have a feeling)

That wouldn't totally surprise me. However, I do think Jordan is more focused on P5 schools (UNC, Marquette, Oklahoma, Michigan, Georgetown, etc.)

As far as non-P5 goes, I think Gonzaga would be first. Jordan likes to sign schools Carolina beat in a title game and Gonzaga is already Nike, so it's not a big leap.

Man, I'm a nerd for this stuff.
Oakland is already Jordan I believe

After reading the description of UofL, I took a Google maps tour. What an ugly campus!

Their campus is several miles south of the "downtown" area, near churchill downs. Entire area once you get a few miles south of main street looks like a 3rd world country.

Anyone notice we have Under Armor as well as Adidas apparel for sale? I assumed we were exclusive Adidas. Can any of the associate AD's that frequent the boards, make a fake account and explain.

I've had the same question, think there are two explanations:

1) Adidas provides team uniforms/equipment, not necessarily exclusive apparel provider.
2) If we are moving towards exclusively Adidas, we would still likely have a ton of prior stuff (under armor, nike, etc.) that it would make sense to still sell instead of shipping to Africa or burning.

Just my guesses though.

Bookstore isn't apart of the school, Mason doesn't control what they sell, Barnes and Noble does. They have the Mason license to slap a logo on whatever they want. Adidas is athletic dept sponsor not general fan apparel.

While this makes sense, I think the school and Adidas are missing a key component.
We go to games or watch them on TV and see the players and coaches wearing certain types of sneakers, warmup shirts, shorts, polo shirts, etc. That drives demand. I know I saw DP wearing a certain Adidas polo shirt one game and it was no where to be found at the bookstore. A friend told me last night he was looking for a certain pair of sneakers he saw the coaching staff wearing last year during the coaches vs cancer game (when the coaches all wear sneaks with their suits) and he couldnt find them.

Seperately, I would like to see more schools allow their coaching staffs to wear polos/golf shirts instead of suits. If I'm Adidas, Nike, UA I would love that exposure. There is no rule that says coaches have to wear suits. Huggy and Mike Brey dont even wear ties. DP and GA Southern's coach dont keep their jacket on and the GA Southern coach loosened his tie right after the tip. Most coaches don't want to be in suits anyway so let them wear Adidas shirts, pants and sneaks.
