They're complaining about the unfair refs. vcu is complaining about that! This is hilarious! Oh, the irony! vcu is Georgetown of the 80s in that they foul so much on defense refs can't call everything, but last night refs actually did their job and called fouls when vcu fouled (novel concept). CAA and A10 refs are scared of vcu.

Yes, Steve Lappas talked about that and how it was similar to what he encountered with Georgetown during his time at Villanova. Last night showed that all the refs need to do is call the clear fouls consistently and they will back off the over-the-top aggressive style of play.

I've been saying that for years: just call the game tight in the first 5 minutes of each half and vcu will be forced to play like everyone else.

I mean, it's pretty obvious when the players are being knocked off the ball rather than vcu getting a clean steal.

i for one and delighted only Rhode Island is the last A10 team standing. Cant stand vcu or Dayton. glad they both lost. I dont care if it "hurts" the A10 the only team i really care about in the conference is Mason, screw everyone else.

The only thing that annoyed me about Dayton was Gruden's kid talking smack about Mason when he was a never-saw-the-floor walk on.

I told myself after the turnover that Ennis was going to shoot and hit a three and that would be the game. Sometimes basketball can be painfully predictable.

I feel for the Rhody players. That was brutal.

For me, it was the failure to box out on the missed free throw and then giving up a second offensive rebound that led to the tying three.

But it's also incredible that Oregon was able to completely neutralize Hassan Martin who had 0 points, 0 rebounds, and 0 assists.
