If we are being serious, I'd say having three players completely unready to step into bigger roles (JDS, Calixte, Mar) is still Paulsen's fault, especially since two of those three are juniors.

It’s 50% coach and 50% player. You can lead a horse to water as often as you want, but you can’t make him drink.

Every coach recruits horses who won’t drink. That’s a big reason why there will be the names of almost 1,000 of those horses in the transfer portal this spring.

You can lead a horse to water as often as you want, but you can’t make him drink.
Since we are talking horses again, in my nearly 4 years of owning a horse farm now I have learned the following:
You don't have to lead the horses to the water. They will find it.
They do three things for 23 hours a day: drink, eat and poop
There is no need to make them drink.

Now, based on the earlier discussion I don't know if that means Dave has defective horses or if there is something wrong with his farm.
