Not saying I disagree or don't feel similar, I certainty felt like this was the approach under Hewitt & Co. But unlike Hewitt, Paulsen has had success doing this within the last decade so I'm not ready to say we won't be competitive within the next 2 years.

Update: after the Houston game, we are 351st in the nation in 3 point shooting at 19.7% (12/61).

What's also concerning is that we're taking fewer threes each game. We took 40 threes in the first two games and 21 threes in the last two games. If we're going to combat our bad shooting by just forgoing the three, that makes the decision to stick with the four-guard lineup even more curious.

Hard to argue that. They are all facts. With the exception of us being suckers if we go to games.

Look at the roster and one is hard pressed to see any 4-7 guys that can create a nucleus strong enough to stay in top 5 of A10. Unless Revalo becomes a miracle overnight, we have inside presence. Bleak outlook next few years.

Thought I'd bump this since we're on a winnin' streak and the three balls have been falling. After shooting 34% from deep during the last three games, we're now up to 26.3% from three on the season, good for 340th in the country. Most of the improvement is due to Karmari and Otis. Percentages by player:

Kam: 37.5% (3/8)
Otis: 36.7% (11/30)
Jaire: 28% (7/25)
Karmari: 25% (6/24) - started the season 0/8, 6/16 since the Houston game
Kier: 15.4% (2/13) - delivery doesn't look natural, needs to get the shot off quicker
Boyd: 14.3% (1/7) - but the one was a big shot in overtime
Deandre: 0% (0/5)
Marquise: 0% (0/2)

The concern here is still that only two guys in the regular rotation are shooting well and everyone else is below average. We need to see Jaire and/or the other freshmen start hitting at a better clip if the improvement is going to be sustained.
