Alright guys, we're about 10 days out from the season opener. Let's stir up some discussion with some 2017-2018 predictions. Predict anything from our record, starting lineup or some outlandish bold predictions. I'll start:

Record: Slightly optimistic, hard to factor in the Cancun games but around: OOC: 9-4, Overall: 20-11
(range anywhere from 18-21 wins)

Scoring Leaders: Otis (16ppg) , Grayer (15ppg) , Kier (8-9ppg)

Surprise wins (relatively speaking): Auburn, GW, vcu

Bold Prediction: We win the Cancun Challenge. Calixte eventually emerges as our starting Center.

19-12 overall, but not making the NIT- should be around the 7 seed again and about 9-9 in conference again

The team improves in some areas, but in some areas the immaturity and inexperience continue to show. But by the time February rolls around they are playing really good basketball setting up for next year.

While I wouldn't call them losers, I do agree with the 20 win season. There is no way we hit 20 wins. If we do, then we've found our new God in Paulsen.

I know our team is young this year, and I think its foolish to expect us to improve after losing Moore and Jenkins. But looking at the schedule I see plenty of winnable games. WE certainty can have another 20 win season.

By no means are these locks to win because we are young. But I see us as favored going into each of these games.

6. William and Mary
7. N.C Central
8. Georgia Southern
9. Morgan State

And if we spilt the a10 conference games maybe pull off an upset. Not sure if beating Penn State is considered an upset. But anyway that puts us right around 18-20 wins. I think that be considered a successful season especially since we have no seniors.

I agree, probably 9-4 OOC. The A-10 conference portion of the schedule is what is totally up in the air.

It's up in the air for pretty much everybody other than the top 2 and bottom 3 teams.

The middle 9 are going to be in a wild scramble all season and we should be right there in the thick of it.

If we can do a better job holding on to home court, we should finish in the top 6, but we have a tough home slate this season (no Fordham, no Duquesne, no La Salle), so it's going to mean having a better home record against pretty much the predicted top half of the league (minus URI).

I’m predicting a 16-15 (9-9) regular season. Hard to predict the A-10 this year. With the youth and shake up to our rotations, I think we drop an out of conference game to someone that we should be favored against like a JMU or W&M.

I feel very positive about the direction of this program moving forward, but we are still a year and a piece away (Reuter?) from being a true contender in the A-10.

Player prediction: Grayer will lead the team in points.

Bold prediction: Mason makes a run to the A-10 final but loses, giving them confidence and hunger for 2018/19.
