I don't pretend to know all that was involved but it looks bad that the school named after the Father of the Bill of Rights kicked some guy out of SG because he Tweeted a few things some didn't like. I noticed on the Mason FB page some bat shit crazy black feminist lefty is coming to campus to blame white males for black female body issues. Guess what, I am not for silencing her crazy views.

He very likely broke a code of conduct policy he agreed to follow. He wasn't just a typical student. He should have resigned from SG first, if he felt that he had to tweet what he did.

If you object to whomever is visiting Mason to speak, then you certainly have the right to protest, but (for example) just don't use the "N-word" when you do it.

"Illegal immigration" is not. But calling people "illegals" in a vile and condescending manner is poor judgment at the least. There is a difference between the Joe Schmo the 2.4 undecided major student and a Student Government official.

I believe that people who break the law should be treated in as vile and condescending manner possible.

As a deterrent to illegal immigration, I'd suggest that anyone apprehended crossing the U.S. border without proper documentation be forced to watch 40 minutes of a Paul Hewitt-coached basketball team.

That should take care of the problem without having to hire thousands of border control officers.
