The Green Room are the High Rollers with the Green Coat Society right?

Apparently they're just getting Sodexho tonight in their green room.

Sodexho does a lot of college and high school cafaterias. You'd think that our high rollers deserve something a little more thoughtful imo.

It'll be a while before The Inn at Little Washington volunteers for the Green Room catering gig! Brion's had the monopoly on that when they were still in business so the "high rollers" should be used to less than high end cuisine.

You may be missing the point that Sodexho has a "range". Just because they can serve lower end facilities doesn't mean they can't also serve higher end facilities. Look at the range of hotels in the Marriot umbrella as an example. They go from lower middle to some of the nicest places you can stay.

Sodexho has access to onsite facilities at Mason, so I am assuming that was factored in as it allows them serve fresher food and provide more variety. Here is a sample menu from last night and our game on the 7th:

Asian Slaw
Mini Vegan Spring Rolls with Sweet Spicy Dipping Sauce
Garlic Lemon Ginger Broccoli
Sticky Rice
Grilled Teriyaki Chicken Breast
Triple Chocolate Brownie Shooters

Fennel, Arugula and Parmesan Salad: Arugula and fennel tossed in lemon vinaigrette with grated parmesan cheese
Caponata: Sautéed eggplant, onions, pepper, garlic, tomato and capers with balsamic vinaigrette
Turkey Meatballs in Marinara
Pasta Bar with Cheese Tortellini and Penne Pasta
Marinara Sauce, Pesto Cream Sauce, Grated Parmesan Cheese
Freshly Baked Dinner Rolls and Butter
Cannolis

The menu has been extremely varied, with no repeats yet. Back in the Brion's and Glory Days, it felt like the same thing would be done about every 3 games or so. The menu would typically be "wings" or "burgers". Don't get me wrong, I am a wings and burgers kind of guy more so than an "Asian Slaw" and "Sauteed Eggplant" kind of guy, but I do have to give them credit for stepping up the quality of the food and variety even if some of it isn't exactly in my wheelhouse.

Well done. I'll take my L on this.

Well I'm glad Sodexho isn't serving the same food they served to us in Ciao Hall...lol
For the record, however bad Sodexho may be in Ciao or other food halls, they didn't hold a candle to the prison food service firm, Szabo, we had in the 80's, and we had fewer options back in the day. Sub 2 where the bookstore used to be was the D Hall or the Rat(hskeller) were our options. I'd take Rat pizza all day! with a beer, of course.
