Perhaps his observations of Moore over hundreds of practices and dozens of games was going through his mind.
And I'm not trying to put Moore down, I love his game and how hard he plays, but production and age does not automatically equal captain.
If you actually wanted to say what you are now claiming you said, you would have said something along the lines of "Wow, I'm surprised a senior, multiyear starter and one of our leader stat producers wasn't named captain, I hope it doesn't affect him negatively."
[ Does it really matter who's captain? Let the guys play ball, all this other stuff is totally unnecessary. Its already going to be a long season, why make it longer.
