From what I've heard from an OSU alum, he didn't get along with the AD, so he saw the Illinois offer as an opportunity to escape. The OSU fans, though, are up in arms that the AD let him go.

There was a Penn State alum who liked hockey so he just donated the money to start a hockey team. Terrence Pegula. He just dropped $88 million and said, here, build a hockey arena and start a team. Looks like Pegula is an oil man, too.

I was wondering how Greg Marshall hasn't left yet. But then after research, WSU pays him over 3M a year which makes him one of the top 10 highest paid coaches. Crazy right? Of all schools, I wouldn't have expected the Shockers to bring that kind of money to the table. Indiana paid Tom Crean about the same so I'm not sure he would leave to take a risky Indiana job. Marshall has it good at WSU. Him leaving won't be about the money. The only way I can see him leaving is if a coach retired from a winning Power 5 conference program.

Not hard to do. I had a guy who worked for me - Manager level. When the market took a massive dump in fall of 2008, He borrowed money - took all of his available cash and put them into index funds ASAP.
