This morning we are heading over to Mason for the Spring Open House for new students.

After evaluating the computer science programs at JMU, Tech, and VMI where he got accepted (UVA still has him on wait list - f them) - My boy has decided to become a Patriot. There is a morning breakfast, rally, and tour from 930 through 2:00pm. He also has a SITE "happy hour" to go to.

I am all verklempt - got my Mason polo on. Wife and daughter is coming with us (youngest son on campout with boy scouts.

Go Mason! Will post pics. I am actually giddy like a teenage girl. I get to buy him a whole lot of Mason kitch and swag today.

Tons of people here . They had coffee and continental breakfast. We are now in the Pat Dome with the Green Machine. About 3700 parents and students in attendance

Cabrera recognizes the Green Machine as best in NCAA. And talks about all the advantages of Mason. He talks up athletics and academics . The man is not large but he has a great presence.

Just learned Mason was ranked in top five in undergraduate research in the nation .

There 170 student ambassadors working the event today. In addition to cheerleaders and Green Machine

Well just got back and have to say the level of engagement by the student ambassadors and the activities they had planned with food demonstrates how far Mason has advanced. My son is already signed up with the Rugby club and met with his School of Engineering academic advisors.
