Loyola Chicago has a cluster of positives and won’t play its next two games vs. Norfolk State and at Davidson, Ramblers coach Drew Valentine told CBS Sports. Losing the Loyola-Davidson game is a big ding for both those programs. Teams are a combined 16-4.

I’ve talked to nearly two dozen programs in the past three days and none of them said they had more than a couple guys boosted. Many had none boosted. A lot of coaches told me the scramble is on to get as many players boosted as possible this weekend and before Christmas.

Unofficial survey but here is a small sampling: Multiple coaches have told me this morning that the majority of their players and staff were vaccinated but not boosted. Will be interesting to see if that changes over Christmas break.

The Memphis-Tennessee basketball game, originally set for 11 a.m. Saturday, was canceled less than 90 minutes before tip-off due to COVID-19 issues within the Tigers' program.
