One thing Caputo is not correct about: "Mason was a DII team when Larrañaga and Company arrived in Fairfax." ... NOT!Caputo is absolutely correct.
It wasn’t just losing Coach L (obviously a huge loss but most programs don’t have one coach for 25+ years). The biggest blow was what we did next, absolutely fumbling the hiring of his replacement.Caputo is 100 % correct. Losing Coach L was the death of this program. Perhaps one day we will make the tournament again.
True. I kind of read what he said quickly. One thing Caputo is not correct about: "Mason was a DII team when Larrañaga and Company arrived in Fairfax." ... NOT!
Mason entered NCAA DI in 1979.
Not your fault.True. I kind of read what he said quickly.
My bad.
Who?No doubt the OCM is now lurking in our portal.
Sorry, an old inside joke. OCM = Old Cuban Man. When he was here he was not Cuban and did not spell his name with a tilde. I guess names are fluid too.Who?
Yes he did, I have a signed photo with the tilde. The school did not have the technical knowledge of how to add the tilde to his name.Sorry, an old inside joke. OCM = Old Cuban Man. When he was here he was not Cuban and did not spell his name with a tilde. I guess names are fluid too.
I have an autographed copy of the book he wrote. No tilde.Yes he did, I have a signed photo with the tilde. The school did not have the technical knowledge of how to add the tilde to his name.
Looks like he varied up his signature. I have a circa 2008 signed basketball with a tilde. Never noticed it until he went to Miami, thought his sharpie had slipped.I have an autographed copy of the book he wrote. No tilde.
I would love for coach L to get a championship!!Miami could win it all
