Coach L may have been a bit over zealous in trying to prove that Mason made a mistake by not giving him what the felt he deserved. This may have led him to do some things outside the rules, and Miami has the budget and connections to some shady shit that he may not have been able to do at Mason.

Either way, I just don't get why some root for him to fail and are so angry that he left because he wanted more money. 7 years ago, I left he company I was with for 8 years because I felt I could not grow there (nice speak for I wanted more cash). Since then, I have been with 5 different companies, almost tripled my income and now have my own consulting business.

Any one of us would have done the exact same thing. It's capitalism at its best.

I hold no grudge whatsoever ---- business is business - emotion is for dating.

I am just going off the notion that if he was Coach 3 -- whatever that is and then lawyers come out saying we don't expect any body getting indicted --- usually means someone is getting indicted.

What I'm not surprised about is that he and/or his assistants got caught up in this scandal. This is how the game is played at many P-5 schools. If you want elite players, you come across with the cash. And you need elite players to compete at the top of the ACC.

Does anyone believe L is so saintly that he'd willingly choose to have less talented teams just to abide by some antiquated code of right and wrong? I don't.

It was known he was recruiting actively against Mason (not that others don’t do this, he just was directly doing it a lot), and he also made comments about how the ACC should get more bids than mid majors

I feel bad for Coach L. It's a witch hunt against him. If that guy played dirty with his recruiting, I give up reading people altogether. That dude had one of the best reputations on the planet. I hope he gets exonerated soon. No one should ever have to live with being wrongfully accused. The stress must be unbearable to him right now. In either case, his recruiting for next year is out the window, as all of his top targets chose other schools.

If there were people in that program trying to buy players, he either knew about it (likely) or should have known about it.

He is as much a victim of this corrupt mess as Pitino.

The first warning should have been when Jason Miskiri went to jail. Couple that with L's move to Miami and it doesn't take a junior FBI super detective to figure out some of these Columbian cartel and shoe company connections.
