After going down 6-0 to start, Mason slowly climbs back and eventually takes lead and wins the 1st set 25-22!

Mason goes down 12-6, storms back to tie it at 12, but OSU slowly pulls away and holds off a mini rally to win second set 25-21.

Mason has a noticeable fan advantage in the crowd.

Tough loss-very competitive throughout. I could have sworn the stream showed Mason leading 2 sets to 1 (had the sound off to avoid the sing-song announcer), but then lost the 4th set. So I was preparing myself for a decisive 5th set--would have even turned the audio back on--- when I notice the teams are lining up and shaking hands. All said, nice comeback to the season. The Ohio St website appears to be the first to report the news.

yup... the feed had Mason winning 2 sets to 1. I was so confused why they were lining up at the end as well.

It was a very competitive game, OSU made more mistakes in the first set, and Mason made more mistakes in the following 3. Mason showed very well and was only a few points away from forcing a 5th set.

Lots of optimism for next year with only 2 seniors on the team after finishing the season with 3 top 15 wins and going toe to toe with 2nd ranked OSU. Hopefully this helps put us on more of an equal footing with PSU and enables us to get back into the tournament more consistently.

They should have gotten a bye in the tournament. Not sure why UCLA got the bye instead.

Thanks for posting about Ohio St. winning the whole thing. Didn't realize we lost to the eventual champs. Their coach has been around foreeevvver. I was pretty impressed with what I saw out of Mason in the play-in game. The team really seems to be in a position to move up into the elite ranks.
