In Europe the professional leagues are tiered and teams can be promoted up a tier or relegated down.

So in England it goes:

Tier 1: Premier
Tier 2: Championship
Tier3: League One
Tier 4: League Two

and so on down the line

"Rylander, a native of Stockholm, Sweden, played in 15 matches with 14 starts during the 2021 fall season. He played the fourth-most minutes of any field player on the club (1299 MIN) and recorded one goal and one assist for three points.

A defender, Rylander scored the golden goal in the 95th minute of play to lift the Patriots to a 1-0 victory over Furman on Aug. 29 at George Mason Stadium.

Rylander played in 23 matches with 22 starts over his two years with the Green and Gold. He will graduate with a 4.0 GPA and a degree in accounting."

Met him at the new MLS Next Pro team reveal in High Point the other night. He lives in Chantilly but will be heading up the new team down here. Greensboro native. We chopped it up for about 30 mins. Top class. Son is a cyber security major at Mason who played a little soccer also.
