Duquesne at Dayton (3rd loss for Duquesne, we own tiebreaker over Dayton, still have to play vs. Duquesne on homecoming)

SLU at URI (4th! loss for SLU, URI already has 4 losses and we own tiebreaker with them, still have to play at SLU)

A loss vs vcu and we are still in really good shape for top 4, a win puts us in EXCELLENT shape for top 4 and keeps us in the running for regular season championship.

If we lose a 2nd game before Davidson does, going to be really tough to climb back in front, as we'll have to be two games better than them rest of the way and their remaining schedule is light on top teams:

Looking at that schedule makes me think we actually need to win out to capture regular season. Can't really expect more than 1 more loss for Davidson with that schedule, they've already won vs. Duquesne, vcu and @ Mason and SLU.

Should we not win regular season, I hope Davidson wins out to put themselves in position for at large.

Kenpom currently projects Davidson at 14-4 in conference with us, Dayton, and vcu at 13-5. Nobody else with more than 10 wins.

Davidson at St Bonaventure at 7 tonight on ESPN2. Davidson is a 1 pt (Kenpom) to 1.5 (vegasinsider) favorite. Go Bonnies!

Davidson beats the Bonnie’s to tie us for 1st place. Don’t expect to a win tomorrow but even if we do lose, 7-2 record halfway through conference play, I’ll take it. Oh and Davidson is legit.

Bonnies outplayed them in the post but got into a 3 point contest and got absolutely nothing from Kaputo and very little from Stockard and Lofton.

A little of both? I mean, both their bigs fouled out of the game. They missed some open looks, but we really stifled them on the inside. We made Gudmundsson and Grady look rather pedestrian for most of the game.

At least I wasn't guilty of posting that the Bonnies were 10 up at halftime and thus avoided the "jinx" that Gunnie was warning me about during the Sunday games!

Davidson has tie-breakers against us, vcu, St. Louis, and Duquesne. Only plays Dayton once, and is a 3 pt kenpom favorite at home. In fact, Kenpom only has them as an underdog in one remaining game, (1 pt at URI ). They're really in the driver's seat at this point.

St. Bonaventure really struggled when Davidson switched to a zone beginning in the second half, after looking good in the last 12 minutes of the first half.

Dayton beats Duquesne 68-64, Toppin with 27. Third loss for Duquesne while maintaining their record of all their conference games being within single digit spreads.

With Dayton winning, we stay in 2nd place even if we lose (jump a half a game ahead of Davidson for 1st if we win), and we finally have separation for the top 4 teams

A win today is huge. Goes a long way towards top four. With Duquesne losing today (and if SLU goes down) we’ll be in really good shape with only one loss. Take care of business against Richmond, La Salle, UMass and GW and I would think that would be enough.

We're on target to be at worst 13-5. Does that get us top four? Most likely.

Six of Mason's last nine games are against the bottom half of the league. Go 5-1 or even 4-2 against them and then win one or two versus SLU, Duq, and vcu.

Five home games and four on the road. Split the road and take four or five at home and we're there. That's a 6-3 second half of conference play. I see Mason achieving at least that.

I like the probability for a top four finish. We're in great position, folks!

Sure a top 4 finish is possible. To go further, we must find a way to avoid 10% 3pt fg%'s. Clearly, when we are sped up or harassed with traps, it flusters our shooters. Its imparative we counter that or we are finished in Brooklyn.
