Great players aren't always the natural leaders so I don't consider him not being captain a mark against him. Let the leaders like Otis motivate, let Marquise do his thing
best players don't always mean good captains lol. I am not sure why this is such a hard concept to grasp and why people keep bringing it up. Some people just aren't captains....
Did you ever start on a varsity sport? Captains don't have to be vocal. They lead by example. If you played a varsity sport you would have known that.
You are mind numbing all the time... I played more varsity sports than you played sports as a kid..Did you ever start on a varsity sport? Captains don't have to be vocal. They lead by example. If you played a varsity sport you would have known that.

I understand your concept, it's not difficult to grasp. But as we finished the OOC, I would wager the freshman look up to Moore more than they do Otis. And in my opinion that's what a captain is all about.
I would of liked Paulsen to have just named his starters instead of having a vote especially this year. Moore and Jenkins have earned it.
Unfortunately Moore is a silent leader and the 5 freshman didn't have a chance to realize Moore is someone to look up too. Practices/ Plays at 100 percent everytime.
If players had a chance to vote today, I would be shocked if he wasn't named a captain.[/QUOTW
Well if you ask me, i think it worked out in our favor. Maybe not making him a captain fueled the way he's playing. He is really playing like a guy who's trying to prove a point. Like I said in my earlier post about this topic, some leaders lead by example, and Moore's rebounding has been contagious. The Damn whole team is crashing the boards like there's no tomorrow. We have out rebounded each team in the last ten games with an average height of 6"3 amazing. This is called leading by example!!!!!!

We'll I touched the rim three times! Granted, they were 7 foot baskets, but that's not the point! Three times baby!!!
