Kenner League is overrated... or at least we look into it way too much. Every year we get hype because a few of our players participate...they do well, we hype them up thinking we will have a good year and then as soon as the regular season starts they either can't stay on the floor or forget how to shoot or dribble.
Kenner League is like buying a lottery ticket: it's a GREAT thing, as long as you know what you're getting, awful if you're hoping for something that likely isn't there.
Kenner League is fun offseason stuff, and useful to see if a player has been developing a certain skill. If a guy is doing the same thing he's always done, but having more success than usual, that's probably a result of the competition and format.
IF, on the other hand, a wing known for driving is suddenly displaying a competent 3 point shot, or a big man has developed a reliable jump hook, that's something that might carry over into the regular season.
Mostly, though, it's fun to hear about Mason hoops players during a period in which all we have is baseball, tennis, soccer, and bike racing, aka the worst sports season of the year.
