In my opinion, it would be cool if GiantKiller/ByGeorge and MasonHoops joined together. Podcasts, up to date stories, and message boards (which I still enjoy so Kish can f-off) all in one place.

As I get ready for the Champions League final and the World Cup, I hate:

- how timing soccer/futbol works. in every other sport, the time on the scoreboard means something, yet in soccer, the ref is the only person with the official time. That is ripe for corruption (FIFA isnt corrupt, is it?). Players, coaches and fans don't really know when a half or game is going to end. Time is up but if the team has the ball in their opponent's end of the field, the ref will let the play develop before blowing the whistle. Not sure how this makes sense.
-stoppage time. WTF? If a team scores or somebody gets hurt, have the ref stop the clock on the board. Does this really need to be that difficult?

- ties. I hate them in hockey too

- sometimes a game goes into overtime and could end in a tie. sometimes a game goes into overtime and the first score doesnt win, then the other team scores and the game ends in a tie. sometimes a game goes into overtime, OT ends in a tie and then they go to a shoot out. sometimes the first goal in OT wins.
I like the first goal in OT wins, but regardless, pick one way to end a game

- road goal differential. I beat you at home 1-0 but you beat me 2-0 at my house. Our records are both 1-1 and yet you advance. there has to be a better way

I hate that somebody on here will tell me I don't understand the "beautiful game", but I think making some of these changes would make the game even better.

That's not the away goal rule (which is dumb), that's just aggregate goals and a pretty fair way to do it.

I hate I got it wrong. If the aggregate goals are tied, then whichever team scored more away goals advances. I hate both rules and wish there was a better way.

I hate vcuramnation.com It has become a a place full of forum nazis who try to regulate basketball related posting and allows posters to cannibalize one another. The negativity of that place if you hold a different view on a player is toxic.

For this reason, I have dropped my fandom to my alma mater's basketball team. I am now a full time mason fan.

Regardless of record, I feel at home here.

I hate we couldnt work something out with Monumental Sports for their Wizards practic facility/Mystics home court/D League team home court/NBA 2K team home.

I realize all three were probably never under serious consideration, given the school's history of not wanting to go down the partner route and what happened with the softball facility. And to be sure, those are not the only two major considerations. However, given how cash-strapped we are for new facilities, I fear we will need some type of creative partnership/sharing before we see real upgrades to non-academic buildings on campus. We are in an arms race and I hope we can keep up.
