To be honest, a Green vs. Gold scrimmage and any dirt on lineups, spacing, how they attack and defend.

Don't know if you'll see it, but I'd be curious what parts of each person's game are being worked on in individual workouts.
Love it, will definitely report back on all the above. Is there a position you’re most curious about?

The 4, although if Mbaye and Jones not on campus yet might not be all that helpful. Would be interesting to see who is lining up there for both sides right now though.

Also who is lining up at the point with the first team right now.

Curious about what different lineups look like, low down how all the transfers look/are adjusting. I’d be interested to hear if anyone looks like they are emerging as a shooter. How do the Paulsen players look to be adjusting to both the influx of transfers and English’s style? Any info on English coaching style would also be interesting to me. How do last years freshman look to be developing?

Most importantly, do they throw any alley oops?

Not to be intrusive, bit has KE settled into Fairfax yet? Seems like he's been going a million mph since he got here. Wife and kids all good and settled? During the season, family is important.

Thanks for going to practice. Interested to see the following:

1) Any differences you notice between a Paulsen practice and English practice? It might be hard but I wonder what techniques are different.
2) Who is running the point at the first team or being the "priority point guard at this juncture"?
3) Very interested in the new guys, Schwartz/Cooper and what they appear to bring that is different to the table.

To piggy back on that, (and it’s slightly off topic) not sure this is something you could answer, but I’m interested in Simpkins role and how it’s changed (if any)? It’s pretty rare for a new coach to come in and keep an assistant from the former staff… how does that transition work? Does his role change drastically (does one head coach give the the assistants more/less responsibility)? I know he would never talk bad about one of his former head coaches, but I would be really interested to hear about what it’s like for him to go from one staff to the other - especially when the two head coaches seem to be very different. Would be interested to see if there is anything you guys notice just from today.

An interview with him this summer if he was willing would be interesting.

So when KE went on the podcast with Patsos and Williams, he talked about how great it was to have Simpkins around because recruits and families ask questions like what are the meal plan options, do you have XYZ major, etc etc. All stuff that the new guys have no idea about, but Simp knows cold after six years.

Holdovers aren't common, but they aren't exactly uncommon either, and I'm wondering if that's almost the entire value of keeping a guy on staff.

They are still back in Tennessee and it seems like he bounces back and forth pretty often. I wonder if there is a plan for them to move here, I know Nate’s already moved his family here. If Kim isn’t setting up roots here I’d doubt he plans on being here long.

It's individual instruction though right? There isn't any scrimmaging correct?

I’m blanking on the rules but will clarify later, they’re allocated a certain number of traditional practice per month, this will be a traditional practice with 5 on 5. We can’t shoot the 5 on 5 but I will be live tweeting it.

I can’t tweet specifics from the 5 on 5

No lineups
No defensive tactics
No game situations
No offensive sets

Sorry guys, this is new for everyone. I went to a couple DP practices but then he stopped letting me. We’ll see what happens, enjoy the ride!

I don’t blame KE for not wanting to put any of that out there. Plenty other stuff can be tweeted and promoted. Thanks Bryan.

I haven't heard of a Head Coach not moving his family to where he is coaching. But then again, few are only 32 with a young family. She must be taking her time or has put her foot down in terms of the moving around part. The "she" as we all married folk know, is the boss.
