This board is so quiet when we win. Wonder why that is?
Earlier in the game, Miller was not at the front of the press.
Nice adjustment at halftime by DP and the staff to get Miller at the point of the press, resulting in some key turnovers to start the 2nd half.
Fair point, ehoops, but it does beg the question with his length and quickness why he wasn’t at the point of the press in the first place.
I mean, they only gave up 23 points in the first half. Looks like they saw an opportunity to try to generate some easy turnovers and took it. I’m glad it paid off.
Always nice to get a win. I hope the team got some of their mojo back. But, I wouldn't stick too big a feather in our caps. This board is so quiet when we win. Wonder why that is?

I'm not sure LaSalle has a single player that I'd want on our team. Maybe Phiri? LaSalle also doesn't play a style or have the type of personnel that gives us trouble.
Jordan Miller basically won that game for us in a two-minute stretch with 7 points, 3 steals, and an assist. Take those two minutes away, and we played even basketball with the second worst team in the conference.
If we beat anyone of consequence, the board's wouldn't be so quiet. But it's LaSalle, so . . .

Not disingenuous. We went on a 14-0 run to start the second half (we were already up 3), and we won by 13.GW is definitely worse than La Salle. I think it's also a little disingenous to say we played them even, when we held a 20+ point lead throughout most of the second half. I mean, La Salle didn't even score 10 points in the second half until 10:33.
I'd take Phiri and Croswell. I think Sherif Kenny is going to be a good player for them down the line. He's just a freshman.
Glad mason got the win today, I haven’t been able to watch the entire game carefully but it’s good the guys took care of business and it wasn’t very close. Still skeptical on direction but I’d be okay if they go out and take care of gw too. No reason to lose to the lower tier teams or be in the PIG at this point.
What does your schedule look like? I'll bring bring my binoculars.Streak the quad if we win
from what I can see, we are going to mightily struggle against any team with a dominant big. So thinking SLU (French), URI (Langevine), Duq (Hughes), Richmond (Golden — though he’s not great on D), vcu (Santos-Silva), Bona (Osun). That’s 7 games still on our schedule.
Cant believe I forgot Dayton: 8 games. Got to win two of these to finish .500 or better.
It’s the same problem we’ve had all but the first two years and in the first two years we didn’t have the depth to compete. Until we can find that 5 we won’t break into the top tier.
Nice to see Kier slashing to the basket again. Hopefully its growing pains with Jordan but we need him as aggressive every game as he was today.
No reason to hype this win but a loss would have been a disaster.
