Greene is going to have to be on the all-tournament team (if they do that in this tournament) after tonight. Just straight up dominant in the first two games.

AJ Wilson with 5 blocks tonight.

Safe to say, Kier is going to be Kier once he's back in full swing.
I continue to be fascinated about what to do when Kier is all the way back.

nice win! I think it's safe to say, Hartwell is our catalyst. man, he should've been our starting point guard all of last year. what a STUD.

He might be one of our best PG's before it's all said and done.

Mason is 133 in ken Pom. SOS still shit at 288 but will be boosted after tomorrow

that’s going to continue to improve, especially once league play starts. I suspect most teams in league will be below 200 RPI other than like Fordham and gw.

In the world of problems, that’s a pretty nice one to have. Hopefully we keep that problem all year long.

I suspect the matchups will define a lot of it. Let CDP exploit the other teams weakness.

So no then.

Just curious if you’ve ever been the man in the arena. Got the critic part down.

And if you want to play that game... I haven't, but my family has. Sister rowed for Navy. Dad played baseball at Mason and made it as far as a tryout for the minors in MLB. He knows the baseball coach very well and is still active with Mason Baseball. Younger brother played D1 football at Buffalo.

So yeah, I might not have been in the "arena" myself, but I know exactly how it feels

So what did you play in college?

Same thing you did. Nothing. I try not to rip kids though.

Had a son who did though and saw how much work it took and the sacrifices made. The injuries, etc. So forgive me if I stick up for the players sometimes and it offends your gentle sensibilities. Or don’t, couldn’t care less.

I'm not following, or perhaps we are crossing paths here. What I am offering and posting is what is called constructive criticism. You are never perfect in your game. There is always something that you can work on or that you can improve on.

Am I glad that Mason is 7-1? Hell yes. Was tonights game great? Yes it was. Did we play defense well? Yes. Crash the boards well both offensively and defensively? Yes. Make our FTs? Yes.

Was there something that we could work on still? Yes. We need to work limiting the turnovers.

You must hate the great coaches in life... the ones that tell you everyday something new that has to be worked on... something wrong with your game. That's how you improve and get better. Yes, this Mason team is doing great. But there is always something that can be critiqued, something that can be fixed and made better so when you go out there in the next game, you perform better.

Listened to Rohland, but couldn’t really get a feel for how Oduro played. Anyone who watched have any thoughts?

He’s a lot better than given credit for but he missed three straight assignments early second half which led to 8 straight points for Nebraska. Hit a nice elbow jumper in the first. Quiet game

Finished with 5 rebounds and was involved on the glass tipping balls etc. Played great defense I thought. DP praised him in the presser saying that although the stats won’t jump out at ya, he played a hell of a game. Nebraska plays a small ball style which played into our strengths and allowed us to close the game with Mar and AJ.
