Marsh looked like a future NBA star while KD was guarding him. When KD went out he didn't score again.

I believe Marsh had 16 of their 26 pts in the first half. Just cut us to ribbons in the first 15 minutes of the game. He did have a significant spell of turnovers/bad plays early in the second half.

And as good as Marsh looked for most of the first half (all of his 16 pts), he finished with 2 assists and 8 of UNCA's 15 turnovers.

Nice win. Bigs really dominated inside. God awful turnovers by KD and o Connor in First half. After the tech foul, Begg did nice job settling the offense. On ly 1-2 TO in second half with Begg playing the point for the last 12ish minutes.

I like the potential of Begg too, but I don’t think he’s ready for prime time. If Skinn can continue to give him consistent minutes each game maybe he’ll be ready next year. I think just going to be BOC and KD.

Another player I see a lot of potential in is Gio. If he can just work on his positioning discipline on defense he could be a monster for us.

I'm with you. Begg is a true frosh, and unless hes Baraka Okojie (which he isn't), he's going to be down the totem pole in the rotation). Love Begg and think he is absolutely part of our future.

I missed the game last night but from the past few games it looks like Quigley is more of our Tre Wood at this juncture. I definitely think Quigley/Begg is our future at PG once KD is gone for sure. However, it also looks like O'connor might be involved in the PG role as well. I liked what I saw out of O'connor against JMU but we're going to take some bumps with him.

I'll be interested to see what we do in conference and whether we stick with O'Connor as PG1 so much.

From the Ball/Redshirt thread---I had the same issue. Gemini was kind enough to pass on the link below from Giant Killer---it works, although the audio is a bit subdued on my computer. Cast it to my tv and was able to crank up the volume.

You'd think they would make the presser available either through the Facebook link facebook.com/MasonAthletics/videos/ which they've done for many of the men's and women's games earlier this season. Or post the link on the gomason account of the game!
